Bridgebuilder Cinematic Arts Program
"Building a bridge to a career in the arts"
BRIDGEBILDER
With locations in New York City, Baltimore, St. Louis, Dorchester Mass. and New Jersey, BCAP has managed to secure itself as a fully immersive summer program that teaches both hard and soft skills while providing a holistic approach to individual development. We are using real work experiences to create jobs for our youth through mentorship and active particiapation. Our projects include work for the Vera Institute, United Way of Central Maryland, Panasonic North America, the Clinton and Bush Institutes, the Lyndon Johnson Foundation, City Living, and currently CapEQ, and Common App. While working on such high level projects, our students get a glimpse into how to work on a production starting with planning, pre-production, filming, post production and music scoring. Having these skills taught to your student by our team of experts with over 100 years of work experience, creates an invaluable experience that nurtures their creativity as well as their understanding of the film and tv industry.
Bridgebuilder founded in 2016, teaches at risk youth in some of the country’s most impoverished neighborhoods, storytelling through the lens of filmmaking. To date, we have served over 1000 young adults through its program in Baltimore, Boston, New York, and New Jersey. Our new virtual program has a major focus on NYC youth where I reside.
Our mission is to continue to position Bridgebuilder as a fully immersive summer program that teaches both hard and soft skills while providing a holistic approach to individual development through visual storytelling.
Our founder, Hollis Meminger, is an award winning filmmaker with credits on shows such as Sopranos, Younger, Tom Swift, Gossip Girl, Alex Cross and countless movies like Bourne Ultimatum, Salt, Unfaithful, commercials and music videos. He is also involved in many restorative justice projects and community involvement which has been the basis for his non-profit work.
